PRESS RELEASE Luxembourg as a pioneer in IoT device safety Berlin / Luxembourg - October 17, 2019 - The Luxembourg Cybersecurity Competence Center (C3) and the analysis platform IoT Inspector are successfully going together within the framework of a strategic partnership. With the IoT Inspector, the C3 now offer Start-Ups and SMEs based in Luxembourg a cost-effective way to automatically and effectively identify weak points in the firmware of IoT devices. Luxembourg recognized more than 10 Years ago, that cyber security is indispensable for the economic development of a country and has launched various initiatives since then, also at the suggestion of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Finally, in 2017, the Cybersecurity Competence Center was founded - the missing element to better support companies in mastering worsening cyber risks and to further strengthen the Luxembourg economy in the area of IT security. With the new partnership with the IoT Inspector, the C3 is now responding to the increasing threat responding by security gaps in the Internet of Things and the growing importance of IoT device security. “By addressing the issue of IoT security in a targeted manner, Luxembourg is playing a pioneering role in the EU.
